History has been brought to life for pupils at a Southampton infant school learning about how modern hospitals compare to the Victorian-era. Over three days 90 children from Maytree Nursery and Infant School visited Southampton NHS Treatment Centre to learn about nurse and heroine Mary Seacole, the history of Royal South Hants Hospital and how brushing teeth and washing hands help keep germs at bay.

Care UK had just published its first ever health and social care magazine for the Yorkshire and Humberside region. Known as Care Matters, it will be issued twice a year and is distributed free of charge through Care UK outlets in the area as well as an on-line version which can be downloaded at the click of a button.
