Healthcare professionals looking for a challenging change of scenery, where no two days are the same, are invited to a clinical healthcare open day at HMP Wayland, in Griston, on Wednesday 26th February.
The event, organised by healthcare provider Care UK, is aimed at registered adult and mental nurses, third year student nurses, pharmacy technicians, and paramedics who are interested in working at the category C prison for adult males.
Health in Justice medical director Sarah Bromley said: “This is an opportunity for healthcare professionals to make a real difference to the wellbeing of some of the country’s most vulnerable people.
“Working in prisons not only offers a huge variety of experience, but Care UK also offers excellent training programmes, so working in this fascinating sector can offer a real boost to your career.”
The day-long event begins at 9:30am and there will be a chance to meet the team and learn more about the roles. There will also be an opportunity to interview on the day, with a follow-up visit arranged so candidates can visit the site.
