An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Patient Engagement Lead, who is dynamic, creative, and a team player to join as part of our team at HMP Portland. This is an exciting time to join the team as we start to develop the contract.
What we are looking for?...
The postholder is responsible for the improvement and stability of patient engagement activities and patient satisfaction through effective service user engagement and peer led forums, the planning and delivery of projects/programmes in line with patients’ needs and priorities, involving patients (where possible) in project and training delivery. The postholder will act as a point of contact and respond to patient engagement enquires from staff, external partners and patients.
You will be required to ensure statutory and organisational requirements are met, that patient engagement activities are conducted frequently across all sites with timely evaluations and feedback/recommendations are communicated with patients, staff and external partners where necessary. Work collaboratively with senior management to assist in establishing patient reviews of new innovations for business development.
What can we offer you?
You’ll receive an annual salary of up to £21,000 - depending on experience; free DBS check, free uniform, free mandatory training, indemnity cover, CPD and re-validation support.

After becoming a youth custody centre, its role changed to young offender institution in 1989. In April 2011 its role changed to an Adult/Young Offenders establishment, located in the village of The Grove on the Isle of Portland
