We are acommitted and collaborative Sterile Servicesteam based at Southampton NHS Treatment Centre. We are currently sourcing for a Sterile Services Technician to join for 22.5 hours per week. There are no nights, Sundays or Bank Holidays. You will be required to work Saturdays.
We are a small friendly team with a commitment to high standards and meeting the needs of our customers in this critical area. Involves the cleaning, decontamination and sterilising of re-usable surgical instruments. We work closely with our operating theatres and wards to provide safe, sterile surgical instruments and equipment within the timeframes that it is required.Our unfaltering dedication to quality is something we are very proud of; we constantly strive to do things better for our patients. This ethos has led to innovative, evidence based developments to our procedures and ongoing improvements to the patient experience.Who are we looking for?
Applicants must have a good standard of general education, excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team. They must also be able to carry out close inspection work. Some experience of work within a Sterile Services Department would be an advantage, but it is not essential as full training can be provided.
The successful candidate will work 22.5 hours per week supporting the Sterile Services Managers and Team Leads in the provision of a safe and effective decontamination and sterile supplies service to all departments within the hospital.In return for your hard work you will receive…
