As Care UK continues to grow, so do our career opportunities… A new and exciting opportunity has arisen for an Outpatients Manager to join our fantastic team at Shepton Mallet Treatment Centre.

Our centre offers compact and friendly units where the environment is calm and the staff dedicated and professional. Our facilities are state-of-the-art with a mixture of theatres, treatment rooms and endoscopy suites. With us, you will be able to focus on what really matters; delivering a high standard of patient care. Our treatment centre in Shepton Mallet offers high quality elective surgery for the local population. We specialise in hip and knee joint replacements shoulder repair, hand and elbow surgery, foot surgery and minor Orthopaedic procedures. We also deliver Ophthalmology, General and ENT surgery.

Because we are not an acute unit the pace is less frantic and our focus at all times is on ensuring that our patients receive high quality treatment quickly, in clean and comfortable

Responsible To

Head of Nursing and Clinical Services Manager

Key Responsibilities

You will work in conjunction with the Head of Nursing and Clinical Services & Hospital Director, to be responsible for the management of the Outpatient service in our Treatment Centre.

In addition, you will work collaboratively with other Outpatient Managers to develop the service, establishing the departments as a centre of excellence within the UK that will be a national model of excellence.

Skills & Experience

To be successful in the role, you will have:
Extensive professional acute care nursing experience with demonstration of competent clinical judgment and leadership ability.
Recent and broad experience at Clinical Management level leading a large multidisciplinary clinical team
Experience in acute care and surgical care.
Experience within a private acute healthcare environment (desired)

Qualifications

NMC Registered Nurse Part 1
Evidence of continual professional development to meet relevant regulatory body requirements
Management Qualification or willingness to work towards (desired)
