You will be able to apply your knowledge, skills and experience in a pre-arranged, non-emergency care environment allowing you to focus on delivering a first class service to patients.
About the role
Providing skilled assistance under the supervision of a consultant surgeon, you will be a valued member of our professional and expert multidisciplinary theatre team, participating in the planning, delivery and evaluation of individualised patient care.
You will be a part 1 registered NMC Nurse with experience of working as an advanced scrub practitioner in a theatre. You will take part in the everyday activities in theatre as well as being up to date with current research, key issues and developments in theatre practise. You will also have sound knowledge of Health and Safety/Risk management within the operating department.
It goes without saying privacy and confidentiality are key throughout the team and you will act as an advocate for the patient in the intra-operative phase and be responsible for “total patient” care in the perioperative phase.
