Care UK Out of Hours provides services to patients outside normal GP surgery hours across Gloucestershire. We are currently after an Operations Manager to run this service.
The role is the key interface between management of the service and the delivery of the Primary Care Centre (PCC) and visiting service by the receptionists, drivers and doctors. As such it can be a fast moving role with new and varied situations arising every day. The job holder needs to have an ability to cope under pressure and to have the flexibility and the sharpness of mind to handle situations in the operational environment as they arise.
This is a Full Time permanent position, working 37.5 hours per week in and out of hours.
•Supervise the operation of Care UK’s G.P. Services, based around its Primary Care Centres (PCC’s) including the line management of the reception staff.
•To supervise the operation of Care UK’s G.P. Services, based around its Visiting Cars including the line management of the driving team.
•Ensure the highest quality of service delivery for Care UK patients, whilst maximising resource utilisation.
•Monitor and evaluate the performance of staff by means of regular appraisal necessary to provide a quality service in the Primary Care Centres and Visiting Service.
•Ensure that reception staff receive an ongoing training needs analysis and personal development.
•Ensure that driving staff receive an ongoing training needs analysis and personal development.
What We Need From You
•Accuracy and careful attention to detail with effective communication skills and excellent organisational skills
•Good interpersonal skills
• Have previous experience with problem solving and troubleshooting
• Have the ability to make decisions under pressure
• Have a good knowledge of the local area and good map reading skills.
• Have a full UK driving license and access to your own vehicle.
• An understanding of healthcare, experience of supervising staff and skills in interpreting/analysing data is desired
