We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Consultant Radiologist to provide expert advice, guidance and support in relation to all clinical diagnostic imaging matters across the Healthcare division of Care UK. The successful candidate will work closely alongside the Health Care divisional diagnostics team, operational service managers and directors, quality governance managers and the clinical team consisting of Radiologists, Radiographers and Sonographers.
As the post holder you will act as a focal point internally and externally for diagnostics services and will provide medical leadership, clinical support and subject matter expertise on a range of imaging examinations across Care UK’s healthcare division through both in house and sub contracted service delivery. In addition you will provide support for x-ray facilities in our prisons in terms of protocols and ionising radiation protection legislation.
Skills & Experience
To be successful in this role you will have:
• Proven experience as a Consultant Radiologist within a diagnostic Radiology service
• CPD and clinical audit/research within Radiology
• Track record for developing clinical and/or operational policy services
• Innovation in services delivery & management
• Experience of Quality Assurance programmes for Radiology
• Medical Degree (GMC accredited)
• GMC Specialist Registration - Consultant Radiologist
• FRCR or equivalent professional registration
This is a national post across the division for 5 days per month with a requirement to attend meetings and visit services and staff in sites across a wide geographical area of the country.
