We're looking for a Paramedic to join our healthcare team, working 24 hours per week. The salary for this role is £38,000 FTE per annum - pro-rata for part-time hours.

What can we offer you?
We’re looking for an innovative Paramedic, who thrives on a challenge to provide high quality emergency care and minor injury treatment to patients with both primary care and acute care needs in a prison setting - performing procedures such as suturing, IV access, haemorrhage control, wound care and cardiac & CVA intervention.
You’ll be playing an active part in the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of the patients care, working as part of a team of primary care nurses, delivering care to patients both within the healthcare centre and on the Wings. With the ability to think on your feet and a flexible attitude, you’ll be a qualified paramedic with current HCPC registration. Capable of demonstrating initiative, you’ll have proven post-registration experience in any of these following clinical areas: Accident & Emergency, Primary Care environments, Minor Injuries / Illness Units.
You will also be working as part of a larger multi-disciplinary team, alongside the substance misuse and mental health teams. There are great opportunities for training and development and the opportunity to work with interesting patients and learn new skills.
HMP Bullingdon operates as a local prison holding both remanded and sentenced prisoners. It has a dedicated healthcare unit, specialising in supporting patients with complex medical requirements, mental health issues and primary care needs.
Healthcare is provided 24/7, including first and second reception screening for new arrivals, triage and phlebotomy and vaccination clinics. Long term condition clinics are a core clinical activity. The roles are varied, involving assessing and treating patients and carrying out effective care in an ever changing environment; responding to both their physical and mental well-being needs.
Our team includes GP’s, Clinical Leads, Nurses and HCA’s; emergency care is supported by the paramedic and all our clinical staff are trained to deliver intermediate life support (ILS). Pharmacy is managed by our pharmacist and supported by technicians and assistants.
