What are we looking for?..
We're looking for a Healthcare Assistant to support our multi-disciplinary healthcare team at HMP Dartmoor. This will mean working inside the prison within healthcare and on the prison wings. HMP Dartmoor is a Category C men's prison, located in Princetown, in the English county of Devon. The nearest mainline railway station to HMP Dartmoor is at Plymouth station.
What do we need from you so you can do the job?
•Healthcare certificate (NVQ Level 2/BTEC or equivalent)
•NVQ level 3 or willing to undertake
•Willingness to undertake training in Mental Health Awareness, suicide prevention, self-harm and ACCT procedures as well as Health Promotion and screening
•Willingness to work in a healthcare environment
•Please let us know if you have Phlebotomy Skills or you would be willing to undertake the necessary training.
•Able to work unsupervised while following policy and procedures
•Ability to establish good working relationships and work well as a team member
•Willing to undertake training as appropriate to ensure the on-going development of services within prison healthcare

The Salary is up to £19,000 DOE and it is a permanent role for 37.5 hours per week.
