New to prison healthcare?
Don't worry! We'll provide you with a suitable induction and you'll receive support throughout your first 6 months and beyond.
In this environment we appreciate flexibility around working hours hence we are willing to accommodate part time requests and working across multiple sites. We offer a competitive annual salary plus reimbursed payments of MDU/MPS subscription and CPD days (pro-rata for part-time working). Furthermore should you wish there are plenty of opportunities for extra shifts and overtime either at HMP Leeds or other prisons within our Yorkshire cluster.
Relocation can be considered for permanent employees. This can be discussed at interview stage.

A little bit about the job...
As a member of our Multi-Disciplinary Team, you'll provide clinical assessment and diagnosis to patient’s requirements and make timely decisions regarding future management. You'll also provide a highly specialist resource to other healthcare staff, patients and carers and have active involvement in clinical governance/effectiveness activities.
It doesn’t end there; you will have a chance to become actively involved in audit, teaching and training (management of substance misuse and/or blood borne viruses) as well as helping us to adapt the service to the ever-changing needs of the patients.
A little bit about you..
As a MBChB or MBBS qualified GP, you’ll be registered with the GMC and on a PCT Medical Performers List. Special interests in BBV, LTC and Substance Misuse are highly desirable, as is RCGP Part 1.

The recruiter will submit your CV to the hiring manager and in turn you'll have an informal telephone call with our Lead GP to discuss the role and environment in more detail.
Alex will arrange an interview for you to attend at HMP Leeds if the hiring manager feels that you are suitable for the job.
This part-time role will be working 15 hours per week/3.75 sessions a week. The salary for this role is up to £95,000 FTE per annum (pro-rata) - depending on experience.
