Your summer survival guide

May 24 2017

Summer – almost a tale of fiction in the UK, but thankfully not entirely, so when the rays are shining we need to make sure we’re taking the right precautions to enjoy our time in the sun.

When we think of summer, we often picture eating a cold ice cream, enjoying a lunchtime nap in a grassy park, having a water fight, lying outside the bedcover at night, picnics and barbecues, spontaneous seaside trips and much more.

But what about the things that we forget when the sun comes out? Things such as putting safeguards in place before swimming out to sea, drinking enough water to keep the body functioning as it should, eating the right foods, knowing what factor sun cream we should be using, keeping an eye on elderly relatives and neighbours, looking out for heatstroke and checking moles.

The Care UK Health Care summer survival guide has reminders of the other important things to think about with summer – alongside ideas of fun things to do, recipes to try and tips for keeping cool. The guide has it all covered, helping you to enjoy the big things that summer has to offer. Download your copy here.
