Job Summary

We have an exciting new opportunity for a Therapy Support Worker to join our multidisciplinary team at Emersons Green NHS Treatment Centre in Bristol.

Responsible To

Physiotherapy Manager

Key Responsibilities

You will undertake skilled unsupervised support work which will include identifying patients equipment needs and liaising with suppliers in regards to supply/ installation/ cancellations/ extensions or need for additional equipment. This will take place in both pre-assessment clinics and post-operatively.

Other duties will include:

• Treating patients individually or in group sessions, in a variety of locations such as on the ward or in a clinic
• Supporting the running of the physiotherapy service through clerical and administration tasks, stock checks, ordering and maintenance of equipment
• Monitoring responses to intervention and communicating changes to the Physiotherapist involved

Skills & Experience

To be successful in this role you will have:

• Recent experience in acute healthcare setting
• Clinical competencies relevant for role


• Knowledge/experience of physiotherapy interventions
• Basic supplies management experience


• NVQ level 2 in healthcare

Additional Information

This is a full time role working 37.5 hours per week to cover Monday-Sunday. Shifts are worked between 08.30 and 20.00.

The salary for this role is £17,000 per annum.
