The Shepton Mallet NHS Treatment Centre Patient Admissions Team are based within a modern facility in picturesque Somerset. We are currently sourcing for a Patient Admissions Team and Clinical Triage Lead. Whether you are local to the area or require assistance with relocation we’d love to hear from you.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for an experienced Registered Nurse to lead a small team with key a role in case management of patients between Outpatients and their date of surgery. The successful candidate will be required to work 30 hours per week, across three or four days dependant on your preference. Shift times can also be flexible, meaning this is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to regain some work/life balance or with family commitments. There are no night shifts within this department and a few evenings, Saturdays and Bank Holidays. The physical demands for this vacancy are comparably lower than other nursing roles.
We are looking for a Registered Nurse who has recognised surgical experience, who may have case management skills from previous roles, and is up to speed with optimising patients fitness for surgery. This is predominantly a desk based role, however is it integral to a smooth Patient pathway. The team contributes to the minimisation of late cancellations leading to disappointed patients and unused theatre space.
The post holder will provide leadership to the team responsible for the management of the patient pathway at original point of referral, and between outpatient assessment and procedure date.
