We have an exciting new opportunity for a bank Scrub Practitioner to join our multidisciplinary team at St Mary’s Treatment Centre in Portsmouth.

In this role, you will undertake all aspects of clinical work in the theatre area, providing a high standard of patient care and safety.
Key duties will include:
• Ensuring that all procedures performed meet individual patient needs, reflect good practice and are provided by means of appropriate equipment, within the agreed patient care pathways
• Ensuring that patients make informed decisions about their surgery and that consent meets legal requirements
• Ensuring that comprehensive theatre records are maintained in respect of all patients
• Maintaining accurate, timely and complete records, ensuring the safety and confidentiality of information
Skills & Experience
To be successful in the role, you will have:
• Relevant theatre experience as a scrub practitioner
• Extensive experience within an acute environment
• Relevant and proven experience in an operating theatre, anaesthetics and recovery room
• Experience of intuabation, extubation and resuscitation of patients
• NMC registered Nurse or HCPC registered Operating Department Practitioner
