About the Job

Care UK currently delivers an Out of Hours (OOH) Service across Warwickshire. The OOH service is an appointment based service that is accessed via the national NHS 111 service. Patients are assessed via the 111 team and if it’s clinically appropriate, they will get referred on to our OOH service. This will lead to either a face-to-face appointment in one of our primary care centres, or a home visit by one of our clinicians.

We have a job opening for an Advanced Nurse Practitioner (ANP) to join our OOH team on a bank basis. As this is an OOH job, we are looking for you to be flexible for evenings and weekends.

We have five primary care centres based within the region for ease of access by patients and staff. These locations are:
• Nuneaton PCC, George Eliot Hospital, Nuneaton
• Rugby PCC, St Cross Hospital, Rugby
• Warwick PCC, Warwick General Hospital, Warwick
• Shipston-on-Stour PCC, Ellen Badger Community Hospital, Shipston-on-Stour
• Stratford PCC, Trinity Court Medical Centre, Stratford-upon-Avon

Within this job, you will be responsible for providing health assessments and treatment of patients on a face-to-face or telephone basis. You may also be required to conduct home visits if and when necessary.

This is an exciting opportunity to make a difference to patients that can’t always access their GP in time, so if you are looking to add extra skills to your current portfolio or if you are just seeking additional hours this could be the job for you!
