An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Advanced Nurse Practitioner (ANP) to join the West London out of hours (OOH) service on a permanent full time or part time basis.

The West London OOH service provides advice, information and treatment for NHS patients who become unwell during the out-of-hours period when their own GP surgery is closed.

The OOH’s operates out of four existing primary care centres West London so we can offer you shifts at the primary care centres that are closest to you.

We are specifically looking for ANPs to work at the locations below.

• Hillingdon Hospital, Hillingdon
• West Middlesex Hospital, Hounslow
• Northwich Park Hospital, Harrow
• Southall 111 Service, Southall

The skill mix within these services is ANP and GP’s, incorporating urgent care, telephone triage, face to face appointments and home visits.

As part of this job, you'll see, treat and discharge patients of all ages that present minor illnesses or minor injuries, either over the phone or face-to-face in the base or when you're doing a home visit.

The Requirements

Essential:
• Be a qualified General Nurse with valid PIN Number.
• Be an Independent Nurse Prescriber
• Have evidence of continuous Professional Development
• Have a postgraduate ANP qualification or equivalent
• Have post registration experience of working in Primary Care; GP Practices, WIC’s, UCC’s, OOH’s or Minor Injuries/Illness Units

Desirable:
• Be able to see, treat and discharge patients from 0 years old
• Have a knowledge of local primary care services
• Have a full complete understanding of the medico-legal aspects of the role
• Have basic IT skills

Salary & Benefits

We have permanent jobs available on a full or part time basis, with full time working 37.5 hours per week. As we are an OOH service, we are looking for ANPs who can work evenings, overnights and weekends.

Our shifts are varied and range from 4 hours – 12 hours during the evenings/overnights and from 8 – 12 hours on the weekend.

• Up to £55,146 per annum dependent on experience (pro-rata for part time), plus pay enhancements for overnights, weekends and bank holidays.
