Care UK are looking for a 111 Call Handler for our Professional Service Line in our busy NHS 111 call centre in Dorking on a permanent basis.

About the Job

As a 111 Call Handler for the Professional Service Line, you will be handling the designated telephone line designed to assist Healthcare Professionals with patient referrals into other health services, to ensure they receive the appropriate treatment in a timely manner.

Rather than triaging patients symptoms, like our Health Advisors, this role will involve assisting GP’s, commissioners and referral destinations with booking in patients and arranging appointments whilst working closely with a team of Health Advisors and overseen by a Clinical Supervisor to ensure this process is streamlined for both the patients and the Healthcare Professionals.

The call centre in Dorking is open from 7am – 12am, 7 days a week.

We offer permanent contracts Part Time Contracts of 20 hours or Full Time Contracts of 37.5 hours.
For the Part-Time Contract; shifts will be agreed based on availability. However shifts must be at least 7.5 hours per day with at least one weekend shift of 6 hours.

For the Full-Time Contract; shifts are on a 7 day shift pattern that rotates over a 4 week period, which will include working at weekends and bank holidays when required.

As we are a 24/7, 365 days per year service, our contact centre is open on bank holidays (including Christmas) - so you need to be prepared to work some bank holidays to help operate a successful service over our busy times of year.
