This is a permanent full time role to work 37.5 hours per week to work Monday to Friday.
The salary is up to £35,000 per annum dependent on the experience.

What will you be doing?
As the Senior Pharmacy Technician you will provide a comprehensive, high quality and efficient pharmacy service to HMP YOI Doncaster in accordance with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC)’s standards of conduct, ethics and performance and Care UK departmental procedures and statutory requirements.
You will participate in the efficient day to day running of the department and assisting senior managers when required in overseeing the management of the dispensary services. This might include checking of invoices; ordering etc.
We'd like to see applicants who are fully conversant on the usage and appropriate maintenance of all pharmacy IT systems including ProScript and SystmOne and have the ability to maintain all records and documentation necessary to keep accurate computerised stock control and manage invoices on Care UK electronic system.
You will assist in the collection and analysis of workload data when requested, identify areas where the technical pharmacy service can be developed and plan changes in liaison with pharmacy colleagues.
What we need from you?
To be successful in this role, you will have proven post qualification work experience dispensary based in either community or hospital pharmacy to gain broad knowledge of medicines management and technical pharmaceutical services.
We'd like to see your experience of POD schemes, drug history screening, patient counselling and supervising consumption of methadone.
It goes without saying that you will have experience of stock control as well as experience or familiarity with ProScript, SystmOne and Methasoft systems. Your understanding of Medicines Management concept will come into play alongside your knowledge of pharmacy legislation and standards of practice.
Ideally we'd like the Lead Pharmacy Technician to have previous experience working in a prison environment, knowledge of NHS & Government policies and knowledge of Department of Health publication “A pharmacy Service for Prisoners”.
