We have a new opportunity for a Healthcare Assistant to join our multidisciplinary team in endoscopy at Devizes NHS Treatment Centre, working 15 hours per week.

We offer day treatments across the following areas:
dental surgery, ear, nose and throat procedures, endoscopy, general surgery, gynaecology, joint replacements (outpatient assessment only), minor orthopaedic surgery, ophthalmology, and urology. In addition we provide diagnostic services, using the latest MRI, ultrasound and CT scan technology, arranged with local providers.
As a Healthcare Assistant working in radiology, you will be expected to provide support to the clinical staff, ensuring a safe and effective clinical service is provided to all users across the department. This will involve liaising with the teams in recovery, theatre, outpatients and the ward as required.
As part of the role, you will participate in the undertaking of basic tests and investigations and
chaperone ultrasound and MRI clinics acting as the Consultant’s assistant and the patients advocate.
Skills & Experience
To be successful in this role, you will have:
• Recent experience working within a healthcare environment
• Good basic communication skills
• Knowledge of the principles of infection control
• Good general education
• BLS certificate
• NVQ level 2 or equivalent, or be working towards
