We have a new opportunity for a healthcare assistant to join our multidisciplinary team in endoscopy at Devizes NHS Treatment Centre, working 30 hours per week.

We offer day treatments across the following areas:
dental surgery, ear, nose and throat procedures, endoscopy, general surgery, gynaecology, joint replacements (outpatient assessment only), minor orthopaedic surgery, ophthalmology, and urology. In addition we provide diagnostic services, using the latest MRI, ultrasound and CT scan technology, arranged with local providers.
Endoscopy Lead Nurse
As a healthcare assistant working in endoscopy, you will be expected to provide support to ensure the safe and effective delivery of a high standard of patient care throughout the endoscopy process. You will contribute to the safe, efficient and smooth running of the endoscopy list
In addition, you will assist the registered nurses and medical staff as appropriate to level of training and competence and participate in the day to day co-ordination of endoscopy activity including teaching, administration, equipment maintenance and stock control.
Skills & Experience
To be successful in this role, you will have:
• Recent experience working within an acute healthcare environment
• Good basic communication skills
• Numeracy and literacy skills
• Knowledge of the principles of infection control
• Good general education
• BLS certificate
• NVQ level 3 or equivalent, or be willing to undertake
