We have an exciting new opportunity for a Specialist Oral Surgeon to join our multidisciplinary team at Emersons Green and Devizes NHS Treatment Centres.

You will be required to assess, manage and treat patients referred to the Emersons Green or Devizes centres or other sites, working in accordance with protocols and working practices. In addition, you will be
required to assess patients urgently in person on the unit as requested by team members during routine working hours.
As a specialist oral surgeon you will be expected to carry out the following procedures:
Dental procedures including;
• Surgical removal of wisdom tooth NEC
• Surgical removal of impacted wisdom tooth
• Extraction of multiple teeth NEC
• Surgical removal of tooth NEC
• Surgical removal of impacted tooth NEC
• Surgical removal of retained root of tooth
Other procedures will be carried out as required.
First line cover will be provided by the RMO and the need for senior phone support is rare. Opportunities may arise for further clinical work in addition to the basic contract. Working occasional Saturdays as part of the working week is required and a day off in lieu will be given if so.
Skills & Experience
To be successful in this role you will need to be GDC and specialist oral surgery registered with broad experience of oral surgery and capable of administering local anaesthetic or local anaesthetic with IV sedation
You will be build close relations with the ENT surgical team and other surgical colleagues as part of our multidisciplinary team.
• UK /UK registerable dental Degree
• Full and specialist registration in Oral Surgery with the GDC
• Appropriate specialist qualification
• Relevant CCT or equivalent

In addition we also provide diagnostic services, using the latest X-ray and ultrasound technology.
